Exhibit Name: Grundy Library’s 1966 Grand Opening Retrospective
Location: Lower Lobby, Grundy Library

If you could time travel where would you go? We’re traveling back to the very beginning. To the opening of the Grundy Library that is! To celebrate Grundy Fest and the Grand Reopening, we will be looking at what our Library was like when it opening in 1966. Library cards, promotional material, stunning hats and more. We look forward to seeing you at the Grundy Library’s 1966 Grand Opening Retrospective on display June 1.
Exhibit Name: “Coming Together” Community Art Exhibit
Location: General Reading Room, Grundy Library
Dates: June 9 – August 9
Grundy Library is proud to host this special community art exhibit featuring works from Artists of Bristol on the Delaware. Included works of art celebrate the theme “Coming Together” and will be on display beginning June 9 in the Library’s General Reading Room.
Exhibit Name: A Place for All People: Introducing the National Museum of African American History and Culture
Location: Snyder Rooms, Grundy Library
Dates: June 17 – July 29
This limited-edition poster exhibition is a survey of the African American community’s powerful, deep and lasting contributions to the American story. It celebrates the Smithsonian museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture and is based on the Museum’s inaugural exhibitions exploring African American history, culture, and community. A Place for All People will evoke the power of oration and freedom stories, the brilliance of artistic achievement, and the soaring heights of cultural expression, philosophy, sports, and politics.

Exhibit Name: Fans & Florals: A Grundy Museum Exhibit
Location: Lower Lobby, Grundy Library
Dates: May 5 – June 30
Flowers have always been the perfect subject for art and decoration. Flowers grace everything from paintings, clothing, textiles, jewelry, dinnerware, books, fans, and china. Flowers are floral patterns have always held an important role in the decorative arts. Floral decoration is a very prominent design element in many of the Grundy Family Collections. Collections include dinnerware, linens, picture frames, flatware, personal accessories, textiles, and clothing. To see more, please take a tour of the Museum and see how many items you can find with flowers as decoration!
Exhibit Name: Made in America: The Grundy Mill and the Business of Spinning Wool
Location: Exhibit Room, Grundy Library
Dates: Ongoing
The Grundy Museum’s permanent exhibit, Made in America: The Grundy Mill and the Business of Spinning Wool, at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library opened in 2017 and focuses on the Mill’s impact on Bristol Borough and the surrounding community. Highlights from the exhibit include a 1923 film of Grundy Mill workers and operations taken inside the business, and an audio recording of the late Senator Joseph R. Grundy himself. Made in America: The Grundy Mill and the Business of Spinning Wool exhibit was made possible through a Visit Bucks grant.
