Christine Schreckengost: Featured Artist of the Month at Grundy Library

The Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library is excited to feature Christine Schreckengost as our latest Artists of Bristol (AOB) featured artist! Christine’s artwork will be on display at the Library from September 30 through October 31.

About the Artist

Christine has had a love for art since elementary school and has spent years exploring a variety of mediums, including pastels, watercolor, acrylic, and oil painting. A self-taught artist, Christine is especially drawn to the richness and depth of oil paint, which has become her favorite medium.

Inspired by the beauty of the natural world, Christine enjoys painting landscapes, seascapes, and animals. Her work reflects an appreciation for the vibrant colors, intricate details, and quiet moments found in nature.

About the Artwork

Through bold colors and richly layered oil paints, Christine seeks to capture the beauty and wonder of the world around us. For her, painting is an opportunity to slow down, appreciate the details, and translate the inspiration she finds in nature onto canvas.

Christine hopes each of her paintings offers viewers a window into a moment of peace and wonder while bringing beauty, warmth, and inspiration into the spaces they inhabit.
