Self Services

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellent customer service, the Grundy Library offers several self service options to enhance your library experience.

Self services require a valid Grundy or Bucks County Library Card number and Password or PIN.

Review your Account Online

To review your account online:

  1. Go to My Account
  2. Login using your Username (or library card number) and Password

Renew Materials

Most library items may be renewed three times. See Borrowing for more information about loan periods and renewals.

To renew items:

  1. Go to My Account
  2. Login using your Username (or library card number) and Password
  3. Click “My checkouts” from menu
  4. Select items to renew
  5. Click “Renew selected items” button

Successfully renewed items will receive new due dates. Some items may not be renewable if:

  • You owe fines in excess of $20.00 or have overdue items, or
  • The item has been renewed the maximum number of times, or
  • The item has been requested by another borrower

Pick Up Holds

Holds (reserved items) can be placed in person at the Library or online.

Holds may be picked up from the Library’s Holds Pickup shelf. Items are identified by the first three letters of the patron’s last name and the last three digits of their library card number.

Once you pick up your Holds, please check them out at either the Service Desk or the Self-Checkout Station.

Self-Checkout

You can check out or renew items in a fast and secure way using the Library’s Self-Checkout Station (requires a valid Grundy or Bucks County Library Card and PIN).

The Self-Checkout Station has a large monitor that guides you through the simple checkout process.

Note: If you have large fines, overdue books, or have reached your checkout limits, you will be referred to the Service Desk.

Certain items cannot be checked out at the station, including:

  • Items which have been requested by another borrower
  • Protected DVDs (must be requested from staff)

Please take the printed receipt after finishing your transaction since this will indicate when the items are due back. You may also check the due date or renew your items online

Please do not hesitate to ask one of our Library staff members for assistance.
