Featured AOB Artist of the Month: Ernest Koch
We’re excited to feature the work of Ernest Koch as the Artists of Bristol (AOB) Artist of the Month at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library!
Patrons are invited to explore a collection of Ernest’s fine art photography, with this exhibit highlighting the beauty, color, and intricate details of flowers and the natural world from August 10 through September 12.
About the Artist
Ernest’s fascination with photography began as a child while experimenting with his mother’s Kodak Brownie camera and grew into a passion while serving in the Army in Hawaii in the late 1960s. A self-taught photographer, he has continued to develop his skills and explore new techniques throughout his life.
After retiring from a career in commercial construction in 2010, Ernest turned his full attention to fine art photography. His work has since appeared in numerous exhibitions throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, earning several honors and awards. His photographs have also been featured in Philadelphia Stories Magazine. Ernest is an active member of the Artists of Bristol on the Delaware, the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County, and New Hope Arts.
About the Artwork
While Ernest’s photography spans landscapes, waterscapes, cityscapes, and nature, this exhibit places a special focus on florals. Through close attention to color, composition, texture, and detail, his photographs offer a unique perspective on the beauty and artistry found in flowers and the natural world.
The Grundy Library is proud to partner with the Artists of Bristol to showcase local talent and bring art into our community space.
