Featured AOB Artist of the Month: Jean Schanz
We’re excited to feature Jean Schanz as the Artists of Bristol (AOB) Artist of the Month at the Margaret R. Grundy Memorial Library!
Beginning May 28 through July 6th, patrons can explore a diverse collection of artwork featuring watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, and assemblage. Whether you’re visiting for a program or stopping in to browse, we invite you to take a moment to experience Jean’s creative and expressive work.
About the Artist
Jean Schanz is a self-taught artist inspired by nature, architecture, and everyday surroundings. She enjoys working with a variety of mediums. Influenced by artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Claude Monet, and Edgar Degas, Jean creates expressive and imaginative work.
Jean is a member of the Artists of Bristol on the Delaware and the Willingboro Art Alliance, and her work has been exhibited throughout the region.
About the Artwork
Jean’s artwork transforms moments, textures, and scenes that catch her eye into imaginative two-dimensional and three-dimensional pieces. Her collection reflects an adventurous and evolving artistic style, filled with color, movement, and experimentation.
