Eclipse Events at Grundy Library

Did you know that the eclipse on April 8, 2024 is the last total eclipse for 20 years? To enhance your eclipse experience, the Grundy Library is offering a variety of programming related to astronomy.

Total Eclipse Event – Monday, April 8 from 2:30 – 4:30 pm

Grundy is excited to be celebrating the April 8 Total Solar Eclipse, the last total eclipse until 2044. We will have crafts, be live-casting via NASA from the point of totality, and encouraging participants to be citizen scientists by recording data in the Globe Observer App. Additionally, we will offering a raffle to all those attending the Total Eclipse event on April 8 for a Franklin Institute year-long Family Membership.

At the end of each of these events and throughout the month of March we will be handing out Eclipse glasses at Grundy Library; no glasses will be given out at the Total Eclipse event on April 8.
